The exterior of the new BlackBerry 8820 may look familiar. After all, the device has the same sleek black design as the BlackBerry 8800, which was launched earlier this year. The new phone has one important upgrade under the hood, however: Wi-Fi.

This is the first BlackBerry with Wi-Fi support, and the addition is a welcome one, as it means the phone can provide wireless voice and data access over both cellular and Wi-Fi wireless networks.

Like the 8800 and the more consumer-oriented BlackBerry Curve, the 8820 will be available from AT&T. Starting tomorrow, you can get the 8820 for $300 with a two-year service contract. In addition to Wi-Fi, the quad-band GSM phone includes support for the carrier's EDGE network--but not its true 3G HSDPA service.

Unlock & Remove IT Policy in BlackBerry

There are some cases in the Blackberry when you buy new or second, including:

1. Locked or unlocked BlackBerry
This means that Blackberry is still locked by the operator, can only be fitted with a SIM card from overseas operators T & T, fodaphone,etc. So in order to use another operator SIM card, (like XL, Telkomsel,etc) the BlackBerry should be unlock or open the lock, we can buy the BlackBerry unlock code online ... and I know this is only way to unlock ...

1. Options - Advanced Options - Sim Card - type MEPD
2. Consider all the status should be "Disabled" ... it means Unlocked ...

1. Insert SIM Card
2. Turn on the Mobile but turn off the radio function / Hp ... "Wireless Off"

IT Policy means any restriction or limitation in the use of BlackBerry.

1. Download JL Commander
jl_cmder-v190 or Click here to Download
2. Install this application on Windows XP
3. BlackBerry Plug it into your PC, then make sure the PIN is detected in the Desktop Manager
4. Turn off the Desktop Manager, and run the JL command from the shortcut on Desktop
5. Select the Reset to Factory Defaults, then when the application display a red ... do not forget to press "Y" to confirm
6. Blackberry will restart ... and should have no IT policy again ... try to check again!!
