Freak Accidents kill Erik Gates "Gateco Electric"

Erik Gates, 47, was walking across the roof of a building on which he and a colleague were working when he fell 30 feet to his death. Gates owned the electric company "Gateco Electric" and he and his CFO appeared on a few episodes of the popular Discovery Channel TV show, "Mythbusters". Gates fell through a skylight on the building and died of blunt force injuries to the chest. He was lucid and talking at the scene immediately after the fall, but died later at the hospital.

Gates' colleague on the roof with him (at around 3:30pm on Sunday) had his back turned at the time of the fall and did not see how or why the man fell. He will be remembered by his family, friends, and colleagues. No further investigation into his death will be launched.
