The Opportunity
Monash is seeking to appoint an outstanding academic in the school of business at its Sunway campus to provide leadership in research in the area of Islamic Finance
The appointee will exercise a major leadership role in his or her respective discipline in areas pertaining to research and innovation, the development and implementation of teaching programs at both the undergraduate and postgraduates levels and staff and academic development within the School of Business.
Applicants should have : a research doctorate in a relevant discipline; an international reputation for outstanding research; a proven record of obtaining external grants for research and of succesful supervision of postgraduate research students; and highly developed skills of leadership , networking and management.
The incumbent will be allocated a workload via the Head, School of Business, with an expectation that 50% of the workload will be in Islamic Finance Research.
Duration
The appointment will be for a fixed term five years. Subject to performance and other criteria, a further term of five years. Subjects to performance and other criteria, a further term may be negotiable.

The appointment will be under Malaysian Benefits, term and conditions. A competitive remuneration package will be negotiable for an outstanding appointee. Relocation travel and removal allowances are available.
